The Terrestrial Animal Health Standards Commission (Code Commission) met between 18 and 29 September It revised over 20 existent or new texts

Responsibilities of the Delegates
Importance, for the standard setting procedure on such important chapters, to get as much arguments as possible from Member Countries, in order that the texts adopted receive the strongest support

Need for the development of tools to help Member Countries implement those standards in their territories Some tools already exist Need for commitment… and money

More collaboration and cooperation between countries and regions More collaboration with the International Organisations involved in disease prevention and control, such as the FAO and the WHO

Tools exist! Evaluation Tools (OIE PVS for global, FAO SET for Surveillance, FAO LMT for lab mapping Training Tools (OIE on Standards, FAO GEMP on Emergency, Surveillance etc.)
