Atmosphere The layer of air around Earth
Can be compared to a very thin blanket, surrounding our planet Made up of billions of gas particles These include nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor

Air Pressure All the particles of air pressing down are called “air pressure”. This pressure changes as you move up or down in the atmosphere. Higher up-lower pressure

Layers of Atmosphere Troposphere-where we live and where most weather happens Stratosphere-contains most of the ozone that protects us from the sun’s rays Mesosphere-coldest layer Thermosphere-hot outer layer
