Those in law enforcement, health and human services and education all agree that the church can make a difference.  Churches that mobilize and train their members to invest in the youngest children can make a profound difference in their lives. 11/19/2018

11/19/2018 Where do we go from here LISD Literacy Partner Literacy Partners provide consistent, positive support to children in math and reading … (English and Spanish) Literacy Partner = You students + 30 minutes weekly Work with small groups of 1-2 students, 30 minutes per week Humility Consistency Simplicity Commit to the entire school year All Leander Tutors, Mentors and Subs must be LISD Approved Volunteers 11/19/2018

LISD Mentor Mentors inspire children to succeed academically and personally MENTOR = YOU + 1 STUDENT + 1 HOUR WEEKLY Meet weekly with 1 student for 1 hour throughout the school year Support the student in math or reading (English or Spanish) Develop a trusting relationship 11/19/2018
