2 Goal To provide Puente teachers and counselors with strategies and activities to engage students in community, leadership, service, and mentoring.

-Help students realize the benefits of service, mentoring, and leadership -Create high expectations -Model the expectations by engaging in service, mentoring, and leadership at the school site and in the community -Facilitate opportunities for self-reflection and opportunities for students to learn and empathize with the struggles of others

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
