1 Molecular Epidemiology Research and Training Program
Major Focus: Environmental Exposures such as Smoking Molecular Genetic Alteration such as DNA Damage Gene-Environmental Interaction on Risk of Cancer

2 Introduction Established in 1975, Training 5 pre-doc and 2 post-doc fellows NCI Funded Training Program in Molecular Genetic Epidemiology of Cancer Directed by Dr. Zuo-Feng Zhang, and co-directed by Dr. Roger Detels. Offered by the Department of Epidemiology, UCLA School of Public Health Currently accepting applications for pre- (PhD) and post-doctoral positions.

3 Structure of T32 Training Program

4 Research Training Opportunities
Methods in Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory Training in Molecular Assays Molecular Studies of Smoking-related cancers (lung, oral, esophagus, liver, stomach, bladder) Molecular Studies of HIV-AIDS-related cancers (NHL, KS)
