In case of Illness Some children get unwell through tiredness (or Haribo overdose). If symptoms cause concern we will notify you to discuss the situation . In the event of contagious illness it will be necessary for your child to be collected and brought home.

15 We expect the highest standards of behaviour from the children.
Rudeness, disobedience or dangerous/anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. We do not allow the actions of a few to spoil the enjoyment of the vast majority.

16 Sanctions Loss of some/all of free time. Withdrawal from session. Contact parents. Removal from Mill Rythe.

17 Room allocations. Children will have the opportunity to choose who they want to be in a room with. We ask that each child chooses one other person they want to share with, and also a pair who they wouldn’t mind being in a group with. We do not know how many spaces will be in each room until we are sent the room allocation, which can be as close as a week before we leave. A lot goes into grouping the children together – looking at current and previous friendship groups.

18 There will be a letter outlining the arrangements for the day of departure.
This will be sent before half term. The accommodation groups will be arranged when we receive details of our accommodation blocks.

19 Birthdays If your child has a birthday during school journey week please see me if you would like me to take any cards, cake or small presents for the day.

20 This is to avoid excessive homesickness.
Feel free to write to your child but please remember that all letters /postcards will be given out on Thursday night (apart from birthday cards). This is to avoid excessive homesickness.
