Other programmes INTERREG is an initiative that aims to stimulate cooperation between regions of the EU. The current programme covers the period with a budget of 359 M€. The objective is to help European regions to design and implement regional policies and programs more effectively, and the European Territorial Cooperation, through the exchange of experiences, knowledge and best practices between stakeholders of al the European regions. Other programmes EUREKA is a bottom-up intergovernmental initiative supporting R&D activities which aims to boost the competitiveness of European companies by promoting technological projects, aimed at developing products, processes or services with commercial interest in international and market based on innovative technologies. Each country assumes the financing of its participating entities. They are collaborative projects were a public institution, a research center work together with an enterprise from two different Eureka eligible countries.
