SEEKING SUPPORT FROM INDUSTRY EXPERTS
All the tourism bodies, councils and event divisions are finalising their annual operating plans with budgets for the next financial year. Establishing a 3 year plan will be well received by all govt bodies and promotional partners, the Asian markets are a priority for the Qld Government with the Asia connecting fund and also part of the growth strategy for Cairns Airport. Export Grants might be available - It is very important to get an understanding on how to make GBR HOCKEY a potential export grant applicant if eligible. The corporate strategy needs to be in place in regards to export from the start, we will of course provide domestic services but for the purpose of Export Grant the agreements are written like this and require us to do detailed reporting which requires additional administration. Other Grants – mainly for events – no further with this until we know the scope of the events etc after meeting with Hockey Australia or available grants in our area. Quote per grant (each grant is quite different for hours/what's involved) The grant world is a mine field and professional help is required to be focused and remain focused, in touch with political movements Indigenous - is a foundation of funding and an important part of the GBR Hockey message continuing the great work of the past and is a successful working model that can assist Hockey Australia rollout a nationwide Indig Hockey platform providing new opportunities for all parties including Tourism Australia, TEQ, TTNQ.
