Introduction to PROGREX– Main Functionalities
HMI PC– PROGREX Press Control (PPC) PROGREX Data Manager (PDM) HMI – Human Machine Interface Process visualization – graphs Other process optimization calculations Semi-automated downtime, die change, and process variable recording Performance indication Pre-extrusion press setup Trend storage & analysis Two way communication with business system Work orders to the press Semi-automated production data to business system Die Management PROGREX Recipe Manager (PRM) SQL Server Press Recipe Management – operator proposal and engineer setup Process Data history ( billet database, timecard history ) Data storage and transfer Business System Interface link

Technical information – Connection of The Elements
5
Level1 - Basic functions only press control and data registration
Levels of Build– LEVEL 1 Level1 - Basic functions only press control and data registration Manual Preparing next jobs Changing jobs (closing the current one starting the next one) Setting all the values to control the press (temps, speed, puller force, cooling...) Technical calculations (extrusion length, billet length, number of billets....) Controlling of downtime documentation Supporting of die tests Alarming – Diagnostics Collecting of data on extrusion cycles Visualization of main extrusion parameters Setting technical and technological parameters Simulating some PLC signals Demo mode Sophisticated solution for quench handling Create relevant error messages for any problems (PLC, operators’ mistakes...) Multilanguage

Level 2 - One way business system connection and recipe handling
Levels of Build– LEVEL 2 Level 2 - One way business system connection and recipe handling Receiving customer order information (downloading jobs) Generating recipe suggestions Recipe handling Handling of the shift change Verify / Input material usage (raw material consumption for the job) Verify / Input downtime reasons Possibility of correcting of the downtime reasons entered in the PPC Displaying of the process scrap division for the saw operator Accepting / Refusing / Modifying of recipe suggestions Modifying of the existing recipe records Quick query of billet data records Blocking of recipe records

Level 3 - Two way business system connection
Levels of Build– LEVEL 3 Level 3 - Two way business system connection Data input handling at finishing saw Data feedback to Business System

Other Available System Modules
PROGREX WEB Client (PWC) PROGREX Log storage (PLS) The PROGREX Web is a WEB service to provide read only device independent access to the PROGREX Press Control System’s live process and collected data. The service module works as a web server and the clients can connect with their own web browsers for displaying web based documents. The web server runs on the plant PROGREX server. The server can be accessed only from the business LAN. Remote access will be possible using VPN connection. PC, Mobil Device, etc. (iOS, Windows, Linux, Android) Visualize the existing logs and the alloys in the log storage at the press Input the log data using barcode reader at the loading table Track the logs trough the furnace. Record the real alloy and cast ID for the extruded billets.

PROGREX Benefits Higher productivity
Consistent production (less dependent of differences in staff experience) Scrap reduction Better quality (homogenous mechanical properties) Less work for operators Objective & complete process data (basis for planning, recipe, and troubleshooting)
