11. First-time Use (Registration)
To setup GroupMe, follow these steps:
Log in using Facebook OR
Enter your address, tap continue
Enter your name, set an avatar and select a password, press Done
Make sure you have checked the Terms of Service and press continue
Choose to connect This Phone's Number or Another Number
You will receive a PIN via text message. Enter this PIN into the app and press Continue.

12. SMS Commands (47687)
Text these commands to your group's phone number #add [name] [number] Adds a new member to the group #remove [name or number] Removes a member of the group #mute / #unmute Mutes or unmutes the group #topic [topic] Changes the group name #list Returns a list of the members of the group #name [name] Changes your nickname in the group #exit Removes you from the group #delete Deletes the entire group
