April 10-14, 2017 Kindergarten Ms. Ballard, Mrs. Ishman, Mrs. Weber, and Mrs. Graf Kindergarten News Specials: We began our Great Barrier Reef theme study by asking the question “Why do you think the Great Barrier Reef is sometimes called the rainforest in the sea?” The children will learn about all of the animals and ocean creatures and comparing them to the animals they studied during the rainforest. Mon. NO CLASSES: Conferences Tues. Day 7: Strings, Art Wed. Day 1:Physical Education, Science Lab, Library Thurs. Day 2: Strings, Music Fri. NO CLASSES: Good Friday Mon: NO CLASSES: Easter Monday Other News Upcoming Events Field Trips: On May 8, we are going to the Forum to see Pete The Cat. We will be leaving school at 9:30am and returning at 11:30 so no chaperones are needed. On May 18, we will be going to Indian Echo Caverns leaving at 8:45 and returning around 12:15. April Parent/Teacher conferences April 14 and 17 – School closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday May 12 – Moms and Muffins/Author Spotlight, 8:10AM May 19 – Dads and Donuts/Author Spotlight, 8:10AM To Remember Report cards were posted on Friday, April 7th. Please review your child’s report card before your conference; we will not have a paper copy. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 pm for the Strings Concert. This event will be in the auditorium. Clearances Please make sure your clearances are on file, particularly if you would like to join us for our Indian Echo Caverns field trip. Check the school website for details.
