Assessment Activities
Use a listening center to have students hear a sound and draw a picture of what might be happening.
Have students produce an accordion book with pictures of different emergency sounds and what is happening.
Have students make a Tchart to compare enjoyable sounds and emergency sounds. In each section of the Tchart students should draw pictures of different types of sounds and label each picture.

Students should know:
certain sounds will tell us that there is an emergency.
emergency sounds are loud (volume) and have a high pitch.
