Subject Matter: Measuring Angles Objective: TSWBAT find and compare the measures of angles. Standards: G-1.10 Demonstrate an understanding of geometric relationships (including constructions through investigations by using a variety of tools such as straightedge, compass, Patty Paper, dynamic geometry software, and handheld computing devices). G-1.2 Communicate knowledge of geometric relationships by using mathematical terminology appropriately G-2.4 Use direct measurement to determine the length of a segment, degree of an angle, and distance from a point to a line.

Close the instruction by asking: Q: How are degrees used to measure and classify angles? [Degrees are used to measure angles based on the definition that a full circle has 360 degrees. The measurement of an angle in degrees is used to classify angles as acute, right, obtuse, or straight.] Classwork: Do Practice: Measuring Angles From G Homework: Do # 2 – 22, even, pages (textbook)
