Vocabulario Palabra Definición Lo que no es. Haz un dibujo que explica la palabra. Introduction to new vocabulary. Provide students with new vocabulary word anc copies of 4 corners vocabulary sheet. Describe what it means, have Ss come up with their own definition (or copy depending on their vocabulary/cognitive level). Discuss what it isn’t (antonym) have students write in their own words. Ss then draw a picture to represent the word. This is done as a class with introduction of new vocabulary.

Background knowledge review new vocabulary words from previous lesson ask Ss to provide examples. Next, Ss participate in an activity where they have their own t-charts made out of chart paper and cut/paste or draw accordingly. Ss are grouped heterogeneously with at least one high level speaker at each group. 4 Ss per group. Sentence frames were projected on board for them to use as they performed activity to encourage use of vocabulary and relate to real-life situations.
