Compare racial segregation between different parts inside Metropolitan Areas.
Compare racial segregation in the same type of area across the country.
Compare racial segregation in the same areas over time.

10. Project Conclusions
Racial Segregation has declined between 1990 and 2000, in all urban, suburban and rural areas.
Racial Segregation patterns in the West and in the East are different .
Racial Segregation is higher in the Midwest and most of the East coast than in the rest of the country.
The gap between urban and rural areas is higher in upper and lower Midwest than in the rest of the country.
