the Year □ 2:30p World Cafe □ 3:45p Closing @MoModelDistricts #MMDChat Thurs To Know/To Do: In advance, prepare 4 sets of chart paper with one question per chart page for each of the 5 questions. Divide the tables in the room into four groups (simple two by two grid.) Use color coding of the printing on the chart and the tables assigned to that chart by a paper flag on each table for a visual reference. Each participant will have a handout of the 4 essential functions from the District MMD Implementation Practice Profile and the related 5 World Café questions to serve as a guide and/or to take notes. Participants will have previously reviewed the District MMD Implementation Practice Profile. Each chart group will need to identify a recorder and a reporter. To Say: This morning, you had the opportunity to review some new MMD tools. In addition to the MMD Blueprint, you have access to a Step by Step Guide, an MMD Implementation Checklist: District-Level, and a District MMD Implementation Practice Profile. This afternoon, we ask you to reflect on the past year, ideas for next year, and the essential functions for district implementation. The room has been divided into four quadrants by color. Your table has a color flag that corresponds with a set of 5 charts on either side or at the rear of the room. Approximately one table group will move to each chart in your color group, so that you will have about 8 people at each question. In your group, decide who will record on each chart for your chart group. Also decide who will report for your group during sharing. Everyone will have the opportunity to respond to all 5 questions. When we move to the charts, we will spend about 10 minutes per question. When signaled to move to the next chart, your entire group will rotate to the next chart (from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, etc.), and the recorder will review for the group the previous responses shown for that question and continue to record additional responses. After all groups have responded to the 5 questions, we will have a summary sharing with the entire group. You have a paper handout with the essential functions and questions that you may want to use for notes. We will also leave the charts posted for those who may want to take photos or otherwise record responses at the end of the day. Questions? Please look at your table color, nearby chart color, and move as a table group to one of the 5 charts now. World Cafe This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA

Sharing and Summation World Cafe Thurs 05.31.2018
□ 12:30p Overview of the Year □ 2:30p World Cafe □ 3:45p Closing @MoModelDistricts #MMDChat Thurs Sharing and Summation To Know/To Do: Have a portable microphone available for quick exchange in the room (multiple microphones if possible due to large group size). Call for one reporter from each quadrant to share the responses for one of the questions, with other reporters able to add from their charts. One group will need to repeat for the fifth question. Estimated time for sharing is 5 minutes per question, for a total of 25 minutes. To Do: Starting with any quadrant, ask the reporter to repeat question 1 and share the responses. A reporter from any other group can add responses. Repeat this process for all 5 questions. Make any significant summary statements, and repeat that the charts will remain posted for photos or other review by the participants. Thank all participants for their thoughtful engagement, collaboration, and many ideas for district implementation of Missouri Model Districts. World Cafe
