Formative Performance Task 1 SUBSTITUTION Topic Question: Evaluate the effects of Jim Crow Laws and Plessy v Ferguson Description of Formative Performance Task: You will watch and listen to a short video clip about Homer Plessy and the Jim Crow Laws. Steps: Student one will log into my BB site and click on the link for Jim Crow/Homer Plessy video. Students will take notes while watching the video. Students will add any notes they believe is important to their findings. Students will then gather their notes and meet with their assigned partners. Discuss with partners what they were able to depict from the video they viewed. Be ready to share with the whole group your findings, notes, thoughts. Topic: Evaluate the effects of Jim Crow Laws and Plessy v Ferguson Description of Formative Performance Task: You will use Edpuzzle to view a video and answer questions that go along with the video. Steps: Use the internet to get to Ms. Robbins BB site Click link for Class Documents Click on link for Unit 4 Log in with the student information you have been given to view the video that is assigned. You will need to answer the questions as they pop up during viewing. When you have finished answering the question, click the continue button until you have completed all the assigned questions and watched the entire video. (If you need to re-watch any portion, there is a re-watch button to click to re-watch the section you chose) 6. The teacher will be checking the answers in Edpuzzle. Summative Performance Task 3 MODIFICATION Topic: Evaluate the effects of Jim Crow Laws and Plessy v Ferguson Description of Summative Performance Task: You will read, analyze and annotate the information found in the following sites. Steps Along with your assigned partners, click on a link, read the information, analyze the photographs, annotate-take notes on the information on the website. (3 in group) I will also be giving you a copy of the 2 point rubric for constructed response and you are to use the rubric for writing your responses. Repeat this process until you have researched the available material from each link given. Each student in the group will draw a letter that will coincide with each link that student may collaborate with others in group for understanding but the student assigned to the link must be the one who gives the feedback about the information on their assigned slide. Collaborate with your partners making sure you read the entire passage, view the included photographs, write any notes you feel are important for answering the questions. When you have completed your note taking-log in to My BB site click on class documents, clink the link for the class you are currently enrolled. (1st hour, 3rd hour, etc.) Reminder-as you type in your information on the Google slide- I can see what you are typing. Summative Performance Task 1 REDEFINITION TOPIC: Evaluate the effects of Jim Crow Laws and Plessy v Ferguson Description of Summative Performance Task: You will analyze the responses from an assigned class, choose five and give feedback in the notes section of the slides you chose. Steps: Using your knowledge from all the information you have learned from this lesson you will log in to my BB site, click on the assigned class. (Individual work not group work) You will read ALL the slides that are in the Google Slide presentation you were assigned. After reading all the slides, choose five of the slides and you will give feedback on the information given by your peer on the five slides you chose. (Remember I can see what you are typing) The feedback must be a minimum of three complete sentences. Remember to receive credit for this activity you must have given feedback to five of the groups in the slide presentation.
