Research Timelines Completed projects (1993-2017)
73 manuscripts Legacy projects ( ) 8 legacy projects: 4 that are awaiting information from DCC 2 additional manuscripts that are under review by journals (revisions) Complete all overdue projects by December 31,2017 New projects (Presentations at AHA 2017 and moving forward) 8 current projects: 2 AHA presentations, 1 Registry report, 5 ISHLT submissions Submission within 1 year of proposal acceptance However, we continue to have challenges in turning presentations into publications in a timely fashion. So, our goal is always to turn in a manuscript at the time of presentation. The importance of this relates directly to our ability to efficiently move other projects into the cue . …

Research Timelines Disadvantage of Legacy Projects Advantage to Timely Submission Data out of date Request for authors or reviewers for “updated” analyses Impacts acceptance of manuscript Impacts new proposals Next step, new questions Impacts new projects Decreases time for current analyses Promotes discipline in designing (at the outset) the original study in way that we accurately and completely drives the analytic plan Disseminates information shortly after presentation which fosters better awareness and builds upon the findings for future projects Increases authorship opportunities for individuals and institutions Efficient However, we continue to have challenges in turning presentations into publications in a timely fashion.
