Learn to Read Technical Manuals
Preview the manual. Locate important sections to read first. Learn the codes, symbols, commands, or terminology used in the manual. Work with the manual and the equipment simultaneously. Use the index or make your own. Simplify the manual if the need arises.

Process 1. Prepare study sheets that summarize each process. 2. Test your recall by writing out the steps from memory. 3. Write difficult or lengthy procedures on index cards for review. 4. Be certain to understand the logic behind the process.
