1 An introduction to Diabetes UK
Rachel Martin Improving Care Manager (North & Yorkshire)

2 Diabetes UK is the leading UK charity for people with diabetes:
We provide information and support for people with diabetes. We work with the NHS and healthcare professionals to improve diabetes care and outcomes. We campaign, raise awareness and share good practice. We have a network of volunteers and local groups. We fundraise and fund research. We are not funded by the NHS, local or central government and we do not provide “clinical” services. We have a vision. It’s not an easy thing to achieve and it won’t happen overnight. But our vision is of a world where diabetes can do no harm.
