Throughout the decade, mass media and schools shape US public opinion High school must adapt to prep all, some for college and others for work Problems/challenges faced by educators and politicians: rising costs, language barriers, new course loads More educated people led to increased media coverage Magazines and newspapers flourish, while radio emerges as new form of mass media Radio provides a shared experience
