2 Using this PowerPoint The purpose of this PowerPoint is for students to be able to access engaging online activities to help improve their questioning to help improve comprehension skills. Improving questioning skills will increase students ability to comprehend text. Students will have strategies to help them make connections within text. Students will also have graphic organizer to help organize their thoughts. Parents and students will be able to access the PowerPoint's outside of school. Students will also be allowed to access these PowerPoint's and websites at school for center rations. This PowerPoint will be available to all levels of achievement.

3 Why do we need to ask questions during reading?
Knowing the purpose helps identify what is important. Asking questions before, during, and after reading helps readers think about what they are reading.

7 Popsicle Sticks Using your popsicle sticks write 5 of the Blooms Questions down on the popsicle sticks. Your Blooms Questions are on the next 2 slides. Put all sticks into a Ziploc bag. As you are reading pull out the sticks before, during and after reading a story. Try to answer the questions the best that you can.
