Fixing your timetable The university year = two semesters
Module = course in a specific subject Credits = value of each module for the overall degree (usually 20 each) Each semester, you will normally complete modules worth a total of 60 credits (usually 3 modules) 20/11/2018 © The University of Sheffield

Core Texts The School of English will be providing you with the majority of your required texts for core modules in your first year See reading list on the induction web page Pick up your Semester 1 books from Blackwell’s, Jessop West from Thursday 20 Sept Please note you will be required to produce your UCard to collect your books

Timetabling Once registered, you will be allocated a seminar group for each module Check iSheffield (app or web) to view your entire timetable: lectures + seminars Web: from 12:30pm on Thursday 20th Sept Any changes or problems please contact or visit English reception Lectures start in WEEK ONE. Some workshops/seminars start in WEEK TWO ( will confirm).
