Professional Staff Allocated
Mission : Federal Agency Project : Bike Program Time Period : Location : Worldwide Contract Value : USD 200,000+ Professional Staff Allocated Barry Kroon – Managing Director (USA) Diane Swallen – Project Coordinator (USA) Tara McFarren – Project Assistant (USA) Burkina Faso Cambodia Cameroon Gambia Madagascar Mali Namibia Rwanda Senegal Zambia The objective for this program is to provide bikes to the Federal Agency volunteers worldwide, which enable them to travel to remote areas of their host country to help the local civilians. Planning: Federal Agencies often send a list of required bikes, spares, and accessories, which IPA reviews to ensure we are providing compatible spares/accessories. Upon receiving requests, we determine whether the desired parts will be used with the newest bike models or the existing bike fleet at post. Once this information has been established, IPA can prepare a comprehensive quotation with the correct items as well as the most appropriate method for shipping all bike items to post. Pre-Shipment Services: Utilizing a detailed warehouse receipt system and inventory control, IPA will consolidate all items from the supplier at one central location for inspection. Once the final inspection is complete, IPA will coordinate all shipments by using the most appropriate method of shipping for each order. Logistical Solutions: IPA offers a tailored supply chain solution which includes consolidation of equipment in warehouses, export packaging , and shipment to the final destination. Shipping methods include Diplomatic Pouch Facility (for smaller spare parts / accessories), Air Freight (for larger spare parts / accessories) and Sea Freight (for full container shipments of bikes and spares parts / accessories), which includes inland transportation to several African destinations. After-Sales Support: IPA facilitates manufacturer warranty coverage and provides replacement bikes, spares, and accessories as needed. For more than 30 years, IPA has offered spare parts to meet the needs of aging fleets, and recommended new bike models as Posts are ready to upgrade.
