Health: is the combination of physical, mental/emotional, and social well-being Wellness: an overall state of well-being, or total health

Identifying the THREE Sides of the Health Triangle
Physical: exercising, eating nutritious foods, regular checkups, avoiding harmful behaviors. Mental/Emotional: involves how you handle feelings/emotions, sharing your thoughts, positive attitude. Social: supporting people you care about, respecting and valuing people, making friends and relationships.

Prevention Prevention: is practicing health and safety habits to remain free of disease and injury. What are some prevention strategies you can think of that you practice or should be practicing?

Health Literacy Health Literacy: refers to a person’s capacity to learn about and understand basic health information and services and use these resources to promote his or her health and wellness.

Risk Behaviors Are actions that can potentially threaten your health or the health of others. Please take a moment know to list various types of risk behaviors!

Cumulative Risks Are related risks that increase in effect with added risk.
