GSH nurses working in the stroke unit need to stay current with the changing landscape of the nursing profession.
This online course will provide the learner, the necessary skills needed to keep up with the critical moments in the GSH stroke emergency room, using methods that will engage the learners to acquire they need on their day-to-day dealings with stroke

Need for a permanent host for client LMS
Consideration for a low cost LMS (open source, etc.)
Minimum system specs for LMS; (flash player, sound cards, media player, etc.)
Finding Mobile Developers for the app development
Issue: Selecting course material formats compatible with learner resources
Document, audio, and video files must be in easily accessible formats
Materials must accommodate users with different preferences and/or audio/visual impairments

8. CHALLENGES CONTENT Issue: Early partnership with team members
Subject matter experts/Team members; Need for a combination of creativity, technical skills, team work and good time management to develop content materials for all cultural backgrounds of learners

Options: A stable, permanent Learning Managing System is desirable
Many choices, but open source is cheaper
Moodle is great LMS, which can be used in the cloud
Cloud hosting might be cheaper
Shop early for a good mobile app developer for the course delivery app
Options: Selecting course material formats compatible with learner resources
Media elements must be assessed for server compatibility and wide availability to learners

10. RECOMMENDATIONS CONTENT Options: Early partnership with team members
Notify team members early on their role in the project
Communications, Consistency, Adjustment and Reinforcement Members must work coherently to ensure a smooth delivery of product
Options: Product evaluation is necessary
Pertinent test subjects should be hired
Managers and other employees should take part during testing

11. SUMMARY
The course aims to give a helping hand to nurses working in the stroke unit of GSH
A needs analysis and subsequent prototype version of the course show this is a viable project
Using Moodle Cloud as the LMS, will be a great choice and a cheaper option
A team of highly skilled personnel is required: instructional designer, subject matter experts, graphic artists, web developer, audio-video technicians, mobile app developer and test subjects
The need to work with managers and employees of GSH as test agents for the course
Project can be completed in 21 weeks
