4
What was the problem? Low and inconsistent participation
Inability to track student attendance at events No method to sign in – many students did not know their student ID numbers, or carry their student IDs with them Tried using multiple software's that were incompatible No reason for them to sign in for us track them Low recognition/awareness of department Inconsistent event location and promotion
5
Low Participation & Consistency Issue
What possible solutions were there? Using faculty and staff to spread the word Increasing marketing and the presentation of the marketing Creating an incentive program
6
Incentive Programs Punch Card System External Rewards Program
Internal Rewards Program The Chuck-E-Cheese System
7
The Selection Process The Chuck-E-Cheese system was difficult to determine prize support Instant gratification did not solve the consistency issue and long term gratification did not hold their attention Students could lose the punch card Internal Rewards program because we did not have the funding to support an external program, we were unsure if it would work, adds word of mouth participation from participants.
8
