2. Creating an account Step 1 - Go to vhlcentral.com
Step 2 - Create an Account
Click the Create an account » link
In the "Login Information" section, enter a username (FirstName LastName) (ex. John Smith).
Enter your CMS address
Enter and confirm the password. Use CMShusky123

3. Creating an account
In the "Personal Profile" section, enter your first and last name.
Select the year of your birth from the drop down list.
Do not enter a student ID
In the "Security Information" section, provide the answer to a secret question, which may later be used to help you access your account if you forget your password.
After you enter all of the information, click "create an account."
Click "agree."

4. Creating an account Step 3 - Select a School
Locate your school by typing your school’s name, Crabapple Middle School. To narrow the search results, add the city and state (Roswell, GA) in which your school is located.
Click "find." If the terms you entered did not result in a successful search, follow the on-screen tips to revise your search.
Select your school from the list by clicking on its name.
Click "select school" to add the school to your account.
Look for a message at the top of the screen confirming you successfully added the school.

5. Creating an account Step 4 - Select a Course/Class
From the list of available classes at your school for your textbook (Descubre 1), look for Instructor "Giannace" and the course "Spanish 1a". It should look like this:
Click the white button for the course section *(for this class period).
Click Select Course at the bottom of the page.

You can always get back to the dashboard (homepage Supersite) by clicking on the book cover at the top of the browser or by selecting “Course” at the top of the page.

Back on the VHL Supersite click “Content” again
Select “Vtext”
This is your virtual textbook! No more worrying about forgetting your book!
Go to page 30 (highlight “cover” in the search bar at the top of the vtext and hit “Enter” to go directly to that page)
Read “Recognizing cognates”
Tap the single speech bubble and you will see yellow bars appear on the sides of your vtext
Tap the yellow bars to add comments and notes

At the top right of the page select the grey “S” to see the vocabulary
Notice that you can select certain vocabulary sections from Lección 1
This can also be found under “Content” > “My Vocabulary” > Selecting “Lección 1”
At the top select “Flash cards”
Flip through some vocabulary flashcards for Lección 1
Return to the dashboard by tapping the textbook cover
