To solve a radical equation:
Isolate the radical on one side of the equation.
Raise each side to the power of the index.
Simplify
Solve for x
Check solutions in original equation to eliminate any extraneous solutions.
Solve: 4+ 3𝑥+10 =9
3𝑥+10 =5
3𝑥 = 5 2
3𝑥+10=25
3𝑥=15
𝑥=5 =9 =9
4+5=9
