Light Standard measure is wavelengths
Color spectrum works longest to shortest ROY G BIV Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet These make up all visible light

The Eye Light enters the eye through the pupil
The pupil adjusts to the amount of light that enters Light hits the lens which adjusts it thickness based on the distance from an object These changes project a clear image of the object onto the retina Neurons called photoreceptors then relay the visual message to the brain

The Eye We adjust to bright light more quickly then we adapt to darkness Visual acuity is how sharp our vision is This is tested by the eye chart

Color Vision Wave length of light determines color
people with normal vision see all color in the spectrum The color circle Colors opposite one another are complimentary Complimentary colors form grey See figure 4.4

Color Vision Cones and Color Vision Cones enable us to perceive color Afterimages Is perceived when you have viewed a color for a while and then the color is removed

Color Blindness Partially or totally unable to distinguish color Total color blindness is rare
