2 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Purposes: Test a QE PS System over Sector 29 Check PS Stability vs. time and temperature Measure Boost PS stability at currents as low as 0.5 A & 1.5A Measure Buck PS stability at currents as low as 10A

3 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Boost PS under test Data acquisition system: Precision Zero-Flux Current Transducer (DCCT) 61/2 precision multi-channel DVM Boost PS units 30V/20A

4 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Bulk PS under test Data acquisition system: Precision Zero-Flux Current Transducer (DCCT) 61/2 precision multi-channel DVM

5 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Booster Quad 901 PS stability results Mean: 591 mA Minimum: 584 mA Maximum: 596 mA Variation: 2.0 % ∆ Temp. : 7.5 °C Note: Measurements taken on May 11, 2005

6 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Booster Quad 901 PS stability results Mean: A Minimum: A Maximum: A Variation: 0.67% ∆ Temp. : 8.6 °C Note: Measurements taken on May 11, 2005

7 Sector 29 PS Systems Stability Tests for LCLS
Next steps: Measure Boost PS Stabilities at 10A,15A, & 20A Measure the stability of the reference to the Boost PS Measure the current monitor output signal out of the Boost PS Measure the Bulk PS Stabilities at low currents: 10A & 20A
