Regardless of venue size, the health and safety and the security of the audience, performers and employees is of the utmost importance and is set out in law. All venues will have completed risk assessments to cover their trading licence/insurance.

Policies and procedures in place at a venue to ensure the health, safety and security of all at the venue can include: Public Liability insurance Limited numbers/tickets Bag/body searches Hi-vis jackets/uniforms ID badges for staff/crew

Continued: Parking attendants/front of house/Licenced Door staff Only food/drink purchased from site No alcohol/ID to purchase Fire exits labelled/emergency lighting/ evacuation procedures tried and tested regularly Fire Safety officer inspections/Named fire marshalls Named Security chief/Health and Safety officer

Continued: Hospitality managers for visiting performers Regular cleaning schedule including bomb sweeps Trained first aiders, medical room and equipment eg defibrilator/evac-chairs Electrical equipment tested (PAT tested) Consideration for people with disabilities

Continued: CCTV/Walkie-talkies/Tannoy system Assigned seating/standing areas Restricted routes around the venue/No access areas Links with local media for communication eg travel changes/cancellation of event
