Playing with Pictures Module 1 Lesson 3

Goals Introduce graphics in Scratch and allow you to import and edit sprites and to modify backgrounds Write a Costume Change program.

To Delete a Sprite Click on the Scissors and then the sprite.
Or right click on the sprite and select delete.

Editing a Sprite Load (import) a Sprite in Scratch.

Select the tool, and click on the sprite to change the size.
More Editing RESIZE Select the tool, and click on the sprite to change the size.

Add images to the costume
Edit the Costume Costumes tab Add images to the costume Edit colors

Import Your Pictures Import Add/Edit features

Time to Experiment Edit your sprite by changing size, color etc..
When finished click OK (Give time now for experimenting.) Open a new project Import costumes for dog1-a and dog1-b.

Use Costume Changes to Walk
Modify your code to have the dog move across the stage as it changes costumes. Use Costumes dog1-a and dog1-b. Sample code for walking the dog.

Pictures Project New Background
At least two sprites moving on the stage. Sprites need to be edited and have their costumes change when moving. Can also try to get an image from the internet. Save it as YourNamePictures3 Turn it into the Turnin folder Extensions: Coordinate the movement of the sprites. (Dance, Play, Story, …) Using the editor, create your own sprite.
