Your geyser is responsible for up to 60% of your electricity bill. Every time the temperature drops 2 to 3 degrees, the thermostat switches the element back on and heats the water back up to 65 – 70 degrees Your geyser switches on and off 24 to 30 times a day. Every time your geyser switches on, it uses the equivalent power of 50 light bulbs. The average family uses less than four hours of hot water per day and is paying for 600 hours of hot water per month that they will never use. A FEW FACTS TO START

The geyser controller is installed either in or next to your distribution board, and is programmed to switch off your geyser when hot water is not required in large amounts. It is not the same as a timer because it detects current and not time. Unlike the timer, the geyser controller will ONLY be active for the period of time necessary to get the water to the pre-set temperature and will then cancel the rest of the time period. This means that you will have sufficient hot water to wash dishes or hands etc, until the next pre-set time segment is activated. The Geyser Controllers micro-processor is multi-programmable with up to 8 different daily heating periods. How does a Geyser Controller work ?

The geyser will not heat water outside of your preset periods It does however have a manual boost button that would heat water instantly The geyser will not be on during peak hours, but will ensure that you have hot water beforehand Unlike a timer, the controller has a 60 day battery back up, so you dont have to worry about resets after a power failure The Geyser Controller checks for current useage to the geyser every 20 secs and if none is found, will cancel the rest of that time period. The Geyser Controller is multi-programmable with up to 8 different daily heating periods. So to summarise the features……. And the benefits?……….
