7 Ten Years Later: States in AP

8 High Flyer States

9 8 Common Patterns in Indiana & Georgia
State leadership set specific, aggressive goals for AP AP expansion is one element of a larger effort to improve college readiness and college success. Administer the PSAT in 10th grade and use PSAT data to identify students with AP Potential. Enact AP credit policies.

10 8 Common Patterns in Indiana & Georgia
Invest substantially in professional learning Include AP in state accountability policies. Cover exam fees, especially for low-income students Use Virtual Schools to aid in rural expansion.

11 Which Courses Need Our Attention

17 Yes, but only this can be done for $1
Should the AP Program increase the AP Exam fee to make AP Insight available for free to teachers and students in the top most popular subjects? (Response at Forum) Yes, but only this can be done for $1 Yes, but only if this can be done for $2 Yes, but only if this can be done for $5 dollars No, do not add this into the exam fee; keep it separate for those schools that want it [Enter Presentation Name in Header and Footer]

18 What if… the fees are a part of the exam fee but collected in fall
By moving the fee to the fall, we could avoid over-printing the number of AP Exams needed, saving costs that we could apply instead to subsidizing AP Insight for teachers/students. Reduce the number of seniors who register for AP just to look good in college admissions, but then fail to take the course seriously after January. [Enter Presentation Name in Header and Footer]
