Further Development of TURN
TSMO Workforce Development Dimension Demonstrate & leverage the value of ITE's Student Chapters in the development and recruitment of young professionals. Council host a teleconference with those affected in early 2017. National Strategic TSMO Research Dimension Host a 1-day National Strategic TSMO Research Summit at ITE Headquarters. Anticipate UTC's be represented and also include TRB Headquarters & RTSMO Committee, AASHTO STSMO, and USDOT-FHWA & Turner-Fairbanks. Summit objectives would be to (1) establish dynamic relationships to share information between the national organizations and the represented UTC's, and (2) begin to assess potential for continuation of national strategic TSMO research mechanisms similar to those developed and demonstrated during SHRP2.

Working with FHWA Freight Team Baltimore, MD scheduled next Additional locations to be scheduled in 2017 Seeking chair for the Freight Standing Committee

Establish Smart Cities Concentration
Provide a presentation to the ITE Board at TRB’s Annual meeting Hold a workshop/forum with 8-12 focus cities to determine needs moving forward. Deliver a white-paper to be provided in either the ITE Journal or another publication. ITE Annual Meeting: Provide the needs at a summit and look for ITE member participation to determine how we can fill those needs.
