Why are we here? To unite all teachers & staff with Arizona Educators United under the common goal of: Ensuring that all students have access to highly qualified & experienced teachers. Ensuring that educators are compensated fairly. Improving the educational environment in AZ.

What is a Site Liaison? The liaison is the point of contact at a school or other site You are responsible for communicating, via and meetings, the Actions & Events to the members(teachers, ESPs, etc.) at YOUR SCHOOL OR SITE- once you have received info from the AEU Leadership Team You are responsible for collecting YOUR site’s contact information (personal , etc.)- we call this “member’s contact info”

How does this work? ARIZONA EDUCATORS UNITED LEADERSHIP TEAM The team (Facebook Admins) will send an out to the site liaisons regarding Actions and Events. SITE LIAISONS Liaisons take information from AEU Leadership team and forward to to all members (teachers, ESPs, etc.) via personal addresses. SITE MEMBERS (teachers, ESPs, etc.) Receive information from site liaisons, read info and join Actions & Events. Communication Process

What do Site Liaisons do NOW?
PLEASE HOLD YOUR FIRST MEETING(before or after school)! GET PEOPLE INVOLVED! At your 1st meeting, PLEASE MAKE SURE all members at your site fill out the google form (click link) so we know who is part of the movement. Follow the instructions provided by the AEU Leadership Team:)

Where is my member data? (email addresses)
The members (teachers, ESPS, etc.) at your site must fill out the Google Form we provided- we do not have people’s addresses unless you get them to fill out the form! We will collect data and send it back to you (copy and paste from form) for you to keep You can then create an “group” for your members to use for communicating with them in the future

What will liaisons do in the FUTURE?
Spread the word! Hold “10 min” meetings before or after school with your site members (teachers, ESPs, etc.) Encourage members to wear red on Wednesdays, take pictures to post. Stay in communication by joining the Facebook group, Arizona Educators United, as well as your own district site page. Provide your personal and phone number to stay in contact and get information about upcoming actions and meetings. Continue to MAKE SURE all members at your site fill out the google form (click link) so we know who is part of the movement.

Rules/Guidelines for Communication
Use personal s ONLY, no district or work addresses. Meetings can be held before, or after contract time. It is ok to talk about AEU at lunch Try not to use school materials for events, copiers, etc At the beginning you will have to spread word of the meeting through the following means Word of Mouth Direct Texting/Calling Social Media Personal

Remind 101- Members can sign up for text alerts!
If you want to be reminded about events: to the number 81010 They’ll receive a welcome text from Remind. If anyone has trouble with 81010, they can try to (615)

How do I set up a Facebook district page?
Create a new facebook “group,” not page. Title it “______________District” (ex: Alhambra School District) Invite members to the Facebook group by using the addresses we provided from the Google Form (there is a button to “invite” people On the FB page, “invite” Dylan Wegela by entering his Post the google form at the top of your District Page
