7. Romans 1:26-27
I’ve titled this slide such because the “Homosexual Agenda” has always tried to veil its deception.
Like Satan it has tried to present itself as light instead of darkness (2 Corinthians 11:14).
It has done so by not only lying about its ultimate agenda, which is to silence any and every critic, but also it has lied about its “genetics” for so long that people actually believe them.
In this lesson we are going to examine how far our country has gone down the rabbit hole, the arguments people have used to “biblically justify homosexuality” and what the Word of God actually says on the subject.
With that in mind let us examine our lesson for today. (SLIDE)

8. This Country has Changed Romans 1:26-27
It wasn’t all that long ago “sexual perversions” where considered just that…perversions.
Our schools, bathrooms, and government understood that these types of sexual sins were not only wrong but against nature itself.
However over the last twenty plus years there has been a major shift in this thinking even in the so called “conservative states.”
Here in Oklahoma there was only one person that voted “against” the “gay parade.”
In, 2014, five preachers in Houston, TX were threatened with jail time if they didn’t hand over subpoenaed sermons on homosexuality after these five men and over 55,000 others signed a petition to vote on the law the new lesbian mayor and city counsel put in to make all bathrooms gender neutral i.e. by preference.
Eventually the mayor dropped the subpoenas grudgingly.
The shift has come in the world of “Christendom” as well.
Denominations like Episcopalian, some Baptists, Catholics, Disciples of Christ, Lutherans…
This is why so many that have never opened or really studied the Bible have been led to believe the Bible is not against Homosexuality. (SLIDE)

“As a whole the Bible does not teach against homosexuality. The old testament might, but the new testament sets you free to be you, whatever you are. Of course it is recommended that you have an attitude of gratitude for your existence. and that you have healthy concerns for yourself and your neighbors. It isn't required. Jesus doesn't really care about what people think about anything or anyone. Thinking is a brain activity. He is more interested in one's heart activity. How one relates to another person through Love for his or her brother or sister.”

Brothers and sisters it is time we understand the reality.
We are under attack and it will not be getting any easier.
We must be prepared to stand up against all sexual sins and stand strong for God’s Word with words seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6). (SLIDE)

These two verse are supposed to be only against the pagan practice of prostitution.
They will go back to Leviticus 18:3 to show this. (SLIDE)

22. “You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived, and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you. You shall not walk in their statutes.”

There is no doubt that God was telling the people not to adhere to the pagan ways and prostitution was amongst those.
But God went far more in-depth than just saying “don’t have prostitution” He condemned the “act of homosexuality.”
This act God considered an “abomination” just like it was for the Sodomites.

24. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornications, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person…”
Matthew 15:19-20
Jesus clearly condemned all sexual activity outside of the marriage bond.
But what did Jesus consider a “marriage” to consist of? (SLIDE)

25. “He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?”
Matthew 19:4-5
Jesus indicates here that from the beginning marriage was between one man and one woman.
It is only under this circumstance that one may have a sexual relationship and not commit fornication.
Therefore, since Jesus taught against fornication and stated what is the only biblical marriage which is one man and one woman, Jesus taught against homosexuality.
It should be noted as well that Jesus actually gave the Holy Spirit the Word which He had received from the Father, thus all the Bible is Jesus’ teaching (2 Timothy 3:16; Jn 12:48). (SLIDE)

The thrust of this argument is that this does not cover those that are “born homosexuals” only those that “abuse” homosexuality.
First off there is no scientific proof that one is born a homosexual.
That has been proven over and over, there is no gay gene!!!1
Second we must ask ourselves if all the other sins Paul lists are about the abuse of or the act itself. (SLIDE) 1

It is the act that is condemned not the abuse of.
