The Oregon's EcoTrust in Portland has just started a campaign, the eat local challenge. The eat local challenge encourages people to eat locally for a week so they can see the taste benefits of eating locally grown food. Participants must spend 10% of their grocery budget on locally grown food in a 1OO mile radius. In addition, they are to try one new fruit or vegetable each day, and to preserve some food for later in the year. I hope I have convinced you to eat locally grown food and to try the eat local challenge. :-)
