Week 2 (May 30 – June 2, 2017)
Accomplishments:
Read 2 research papers on CAPTCHA techniques such as Scene Tagging and defending against 3rd party human attacks.
Met with Professor Cliff Zou and found a work-in-progress CAPTCHA project from a previous PhD student to work on
Learned basic syntax for PHP to understand the work already done by the previous PhD student.
Issues/problems encountered and solutions (if any):
Still working on understanding the work already coded
Plans for next week:
Continue learning PHP
Understand the code already written for the proposed new CAPTCHA system and fix the bugs on the mobile platform.
NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2017
