Full-alignment with ASEAN GAP Standard
Each AMS will conduct a Self-assessment of their National GAP standard against ASEAN GAP standard using the EquiTool Full-alignment with ASEAN GAP Standard Identify points for clarifications/modifications or action lines Determine the degree of alignment -Each AMS will conduct a self-assessment of their National GAP Standard against ASEAN GAP. The over-all goal is to fully align the provisions of national GAP with all the Modules of ASEAN GAP. Similarly, to identify points for clarifications/modifications or action lines for provisions that deviates with the regional standard; and determine the level of alignment. BASE Standard REFERRED Standard In using the EquiTool, the provisions of the Base Standard (ASEAN GAP) are provided under Column 1 of the Matrix Corresponding provisions of the Referred Standards (National GAP) are filled-in under Column 2 of the Matrix -In using the EquiTool, the provisions of the Base Standard (ASEAN GAP) are provided under Column 1 of the Matrix -Referred standard – where corresponding provisions of the national standards are filled-in relevant to the requirements in the Base standard (ASEAN GAP) ASEAN GAP Alignment Workshop Mechanics

Check corresponding evaluation under Column 3: E: equivalent
BASE Standard REFERRED Standard Check corresponding evaluation under Column 3: E: equivalent A: referred standard/s is/are higher from the base standard; additional requirements N: not equivalent Justification/Comment for provisions with clarification, action lines or additional requirements are provided under Column 4 -Once filled-in, AMS will have to identify the corresponding evaluation and tick the corresponding column under Column 3: Self-assessment -whether it is fully aligned (E) or the national standard has a higher or more stringed standard (A); or totally not equivalent (N) including the declaration that the national standard has omitted or does not have a corresponding provision with that of the Base Standard. A column for justification or clarification is on the 4th column (example: that another law or standard covers the provision; or having more stringent provisions in the national standard due to religious requirements such as Halal, etc). ASEAN Delegates will be divided into Breakout Groups
Proposed Groupings: Group 1: Philippines, Cambodia Group 2: Malaysia, Lao PDR Group 3: Thailand, Myanmar Group 4: Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam -AMS were grouped wherein country(ies) with experience in using the tool were represented in each group to provide assistance to other AMS who will be using the tool for the first time. -For consideration of the body. Groups 1 & 2 will be assigned at the Brasserie Room and Groups 3 & 4 will be at the Business Rooms at the Ground Floor -Open the floor for suggestions re the Workshop arrangement(s) ASEAN GAP Alignment Workshop Mechanics

The group will be convened again in Plenary after the Breakout sessions
