10 SGUSD My Math Homework Tips
Be the “ the Guide from the Side” and not “the Sage on the Stage.” Let your child “show, share and express” the process learned in class to you. It may differ from your time as a student. Do not feel that you need to re-teach your child. Homework is an opportunity to practice skills introduced or reviewed in class each day. Is your child stuck? Encourage him/her to show you where help can be found on-line. Let your child be the problem solver. These resources will be shared at the end of our presentation.
