Successfully Completing 7th Grade
To pass 7th grade you must: Pass a minimum of 3 core classes: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies If you fail one core class you must recover the course.

Pass Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades

On your registration paperwork:
Make sure your name and student ID are accurate At home, complete the following information: Home phone number Parent’s cell phone number Parent address

Core Course registration
You will circle ONE course from each of the following academic course areas: Language Arts Math Science Social Studies Final placement decisions for all core classes will be made once final grades are earned and 2018 FSA results come back.

Language Arts: Language Arts Advanced Language Arts Math: Pre-Algebra Algebra I Honors for HS credit Geometry Honors for HS credit Final Placement decisions for all core classes will be made once final grades are earned and FSA results come back. ALL prerequisites must be met for students to be placed into high school level courses

High school courses this is starting your high school career
counts as one of your credits towards high school graduation grade stays on your permanent high school transcript will have an End of Course (EOC) Exam have a long term impact need to be taken very seriously

Intensive Courses Students not demonstrating proficiency on the Reading/Writing FSA will receive specialized instruction and remediation through an Intensive Reading course. Students not demonstrating proficiency on the Math FSA will receive specialized instruction and remediation through an Intensive Math course.

Chorus > French 2 *HS > Yearbook Band **Jazz > Spanish *HS > Art 3D or Art 3D2 Orchestra > Spanish 2 *HS > AVID Piano > Digital Media >Intro to IT *HS Latinos in Action **Jazz Band will be in addition to your primary band class *To be placed in a high school foreign language course student must on grade level in their Reading/Writing FSA Rank Electives with #1 being your first choice and #17 being your last choice. You are not guaranteed any of the electives you choose. However, I will do my best to make sure get at least one of your top 3 choices. Elective are subject to change.

When is the registration form due?
Due on Thursday, February 15th! Turn it in to your Science teacher. Must have a parent signature
