Open Inkscape and import the image to convert Select the image and select “Trace Bitmap...” from the “Path” dropdown Intro to Vinyl Cutting. Zack Borschuk 10/11/16

Check “Live Preview”, adjust the threshold next to “Brightness Cutoff” until your image shows up properly in the preview Intro to Vinyl Cutting. Zack Borschuk 10/11/16

Click “OK”, close the Trace Bitmap window, move the new image away from your original, select the “Object” dropdown and select “Fill and Stroke” Set “Fill” to none, this icon: Set “Stroke” to solid, this icon: Set “Stroke Style’ to 0.05 mm: Intro to Vinyl Cutting. Zack Borschuk 10/11/16

Converting Images in Inkscape
Your image should now be just thin lines. Delete the original image from Inkscape Go to the “File” dropdown and select “Save As” and save the file as an Encapsulated PostScript, (.eps) Intro to Vinyl Cutting. Zack Borschuk 10/11/16

Using SignCut Open your .eps file into SignCut
Scale your image to the size you want to cut it Make sure you’ve prepared the cutter with your vinyl and set the origin Go to the ‘File’ Dropdown and choose ‘Cut Out’ Click ‘Cut Out’ and the cutter should start cutting When finished, remove your vinyl sheet and cut out your cut from the sheet. Using the Heat Press Plug the heat press in and turn it on
Check the info on your transfers for temperature, press time, pressure, and what type of peel it needs Set the temperature and time on the machine and wait for it to heat up Lay your garment flat and align your vinyl transfer NOTE: Make sure you reversed your image for the shirt Intro to Vinyl Cutting. Using the Heat Press Once the heat press has reached temperature, pull down the handle until it locks in place It will release when the timer is done If a hot peel, peel it immediately For a warm peel, let it cool slightly then peel For cold peel, let it cool then peel If the vinyl starts lifting on peeling, STOP, press the backing paper back down, and redo the press and try removing the backing again Intro to Vinyl Cutting.
