FB730 FLATBED LASER CUTTING SYSTEM
The FB730 Flatbed Laser Cutting System is certified as Class 1, being fully enclosed with protective covers. It includes a 30 watt sealed CO2 laser unit.
The dimensions of the cutting bed are as follows:-
Maximum Bed Size mm (34.3") wide x 1050mm (41.3") deep
Active Cutting Area 725mm (28.5") wide x 995mm (39.2") deep
EXTRACTION
The separate extraction unit removes all fumes from the point of cut.
Ethos Cutting Composer software
The Composer controls the generation and management of the shapes for cutting. It incorporates comprehensive design and editing features and is compatible with all major vector formats.
The two extensive databases control the management of both cut shapes and the laser settings for different materials, allowing efficient setup and changeover of designs.
ROTARY DEVICE (optional)
The rotary attachment for the FB range of laser systems allows the user to raster engrave on a cylindrical component. The top and bottom of the component are supported by an individually controlled carrier, meaning most any type of cylinder can be set in focus for engraving.

10. Plasma
Plasma is an exceptionally strong polypropylene sheet material. It can
be laser cut and scored to create interesting products including
packaging. Its flexible property, and the fact that it can be riveted and
eyeletted, means that really creative work can be produced.

11. Colorflute
Colorflute is a self coloured corrugated card. It laser cuts extremely well
and can be used to create packaging, cards, etc. The corrugated finishg
Colorflute is available in A3 and A2 sheets.
Eleven standard colours are available - Polar White, Flame Red, Forest
Green, Jet Black, Rye, Burgundy, Midnight Blue, Gold, Silver, Sunflower
and Ivory.ives objects both structural strength and an interesting texture.

12. MEDITE (LASER GRADE MDF)
Different types of MDF vary greatly in
composition and this can have a dramatic effect
on how they laser cut. Medite is the best type of
MDF for laser cutting and so we now stock this
often hard to source material.
Medite is available in 4mm thick sheets.

13. IMAGE TRANSFER BOARD Image transfer board is
medite MDF (ideal for laser
cutting) with a special
coating on one side to
allow images to be
transferred onto it using
either TechSoft’s Laser
Image Transfer system (see
pages 26-27) or
sublimation. Either
process creates a gloss
finish image on one side of
this medite board.
Students can design, laser
cut and then transfer an
image to create anything
from point of sale displays,
to clocks or jigsaws.

14. LASER ENGRAVING LAMINATES
Laser engraving laminate is similar in appearance to that used for rotary
engraving, but is composed of different materials more suitable for laser
marking and cutting.
The material we supply comes from one of the world’s leading
manufacturers and is made to the high quality required to give consistent
and reliable results.
Laser engraving and cutting is ideal for a range of quick and simple CNC
projects such as badges, key fobs, tags, panels, etc. This really is a
fantastic medium for students’ design work.
TechSoft also stock magnetic laser engraving laminates which are ideal
for creating fridge magnets and other magnetic graphic products.
Laser engraving laminates are available in 610 x 610 x 1.3mm sheets,
in a range of colours.
