2. Definition of culture:
culture is a social creation, meaning, that we are not born with culture we get it by living. We learn what is acceptable behavior and what is not in our society/group.
Culture is the “blueprint” for living in the society we are born in
Culture is transmitted from one person to another, and from one generation to the next

3. Characteristics of culture:
Culture is shared
Culture is learned
Culture changes over time

4. Cultural norms
Unwritten rules about acceptable and unacceptable behavior in a particular culture

5. Definition of ethnocentrism:
The belief held by a group of people that their society and culture is superior to that of all others.
