An Intron Group client had an aging legacy archive that had not been utilized for some time. Historically high storage costs caused a previous engineer to move untouched data off of the server onto lower-cost storage mechanisms. Manually editing the archive database would mean the data integrity would be compromised, the archive would be rendered useless, and the data all but lost. Intron Group looked to Simply Migrate for help.

SOLUTION
Simply Migrate needed to develop bespoke software rapidly to overcome these hurdles for Intron Group’s client. It needed to fully replicate the existing production environment in order to do this. Simply Migrate created a simulation with dummy data using Microsoft Azure Storage on Azure Virtual Machines in an Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service environment. It developed the solution in an exclusively non-production environment. Once the software was developed, it conducted extensive testing that required servers be reset to start point frequently. Azure made this simple.
