Goal: to drive energy efficiency by Increasing the energy efficiency of new PCs and servers Promoting the use of power management Thereby reducing global CO2 emissions from the operation of computers by 54 million tons a year by 2010 Started in 2008 by World Wildlife Federation in partnership with Google and Intel Google founder and Michigan alum, Larry Page invited Michigan to be charter member Michigan put together aggressive two year program, ClimateSavers Computing U-M EDUCAUSE 2015 University of Michigan
