(verb) to speak or write a speech about a person’s life or character.
If you were to eulogize your favorite book character’s life, what would you say?

The desk set I got was faulty; it had a scratch in it.

(noun) the part of a nation’s territory that abuts upon another country.
Algonac is essentially the frontier of America on Canada’s border.

5. harbinger
(noun) one who or that which foreruns and announces the coming of any person or thing
When I’m famous I plan to hire a harbinger to announce my entrance into every place I visit.

6. immovable (adj) steadfast: firmly fixed in place
Pretty soon, I’m going to make sure that my desks are immovable, so that my room can’t be rearranged without my knowing.

7. ineffable (adj) too great or extreme to be expressed in words
I wanted to confirm the most recent rumor, but it was so ineffable that I couldn’t even repeat it to find its source.

To complete metallurgy one must have a complete knowledge of chemistry as to not separate the wrong substances from the metal.

12. multiplicity (noun) the condition of being diverse or various
The multiplicity of the kinds of texts they read in IB is impressive. Everyone will have a well-rounded literary experience.

13. observatory
(noun) a building designed for systematic astronomical observations
It would be a great field trip if we could go the the local observatory to watch the comet shower later this fall.

14. oversee (verb) to superintend or guide
A superintendent’s job is to oversee the workings of the entire school district.

15. perceptible (adj) able to be seen or noticed
The slight rash on his skin was just barely perceptible, but it was there.
