Affirmative sentences
Pronoun + have / has past participle + complement For example: I have finished my homework She has written the Science report

Negative sentences Pronoun + have / has not + past participle + complement For example: I haven’t done my homework She hasn’t written the Science report

Interrogative sentences
have / has Pronoun + past participle + complement + ? For example: Have you done your homework? Has she written the Science report?

ALREADY We use it in affirmative sentences
We use it to express that something was done It goes after have / has For example: I have already done my homework

Yet We use it in Negative and Interrogative sentences
We use it to express that we didn’t do something It goes always at the end of the sentence For example: I haven’t done my homework yet Has she written the Science report yet?

Present perfect vs Past simple
Past Simple: Something started and finished in the past I played the guitar when I was at school (We don’t know if she still plays the guitar in the present) Present perfect: Something finished but it is still connected with the present. I have worked in this bank for 5 years (He still works at the bank)
